Firefighters Rescue Children from Skywalk Tower Structure in Hervey Bay QLD

Two children were safely rescued by the Queensland Fire Department at Pialba Adventure Park in Hervey Bay after climbing onto the outside of a tall structure, becoming stranded when they couldn’t get back down. The skywalk tower, an enclosed slide and cubby house, stands at a height of 7.6 metres tall. The popular playground was temporarily closed while crews used ladders and ropes to carry out the operation.

The incident occurred when the children, unable to climb back down to the ground, became stranded on the exterior of the equipment. Emergency services were called just before 4:00 PM, and fire crews successfully brought them down without injury. The temporary closure allowed authorities to safely resolve the situation and inspect the area.
