A five-year-old child has died after suffering a severe head injury in a fall from a playscape at her family’s home in Connecticut, USA. Emergency services responded on 31 May 2026 after reports that a child had suffered a serious head injury after falling approximately seven feet from a play structure. She was transported by ambulance before being airlifted by Life Star helicopter to Hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
State Police later confirmed that the child, identified as Olivia Videtto, died from her injuries. Investigators said the incident occurred at a residence and that no criminal activity is suspected.
The case remains under investigation. School officials described her as a joyful student who loved learning and participating in school activities, including a kindness-focused community service club.
