A colouring competition held by District Council to promote the sustainable features of the new playground in Surrey, England has a winner. Entrants created artwork for a permanent sign highlighting the playground’s commitment to sustainability, part of the council’s broader investment in local playground improvements. The competition was run in partnership with the playground equipment manufacturer and Primary School.

Four standout entries from children aged 5 to 11 were shortlisted, and the winning design by seven-year-old Zachary from Lingfield Primary School was selected for its vibrant colours and creative representation of the upgraded playground’s appearance. All shortlisted participants will also receive a prize at the playground’s reopening event later in the year, and every entrant will be awarded a certificate.
