This session will cover general safety requirements for the manufacturer, installation, inspection, and maintenance of installed, freely accessible outdoor fitness equipment. We will focus on equipment intended for youths and adults, with a height greater than 1400 mm, promoting fitness and physical activity across a wide range of abilities.

Safety Guide
50+ Pages Hardcopy Bound Manual providing detailed guidance on inspection procedures, risk management, compliance with Australian Standards, and real-world case studies to support best practices in the industry.
Essential Safety (ES) Training
Theory lectures is available in-house (host, 1-day 1.5 hours), external (PSIA hosted, 1-day 1.5 hrs), online live stream (1 day – <1.5 hours) and online self-paced (1 hour, 4 weeks access). No assessments currently apply for this course.
After satisfactory results on all applicable modules and quality checked evidence gathering and assessor marking to our competency based mapping guides digital certification will be issued via email stating competency to the applicable levels and QR code Validity check link.
There are no pre-requisites or pre-study required for this Certified Playground Safety Training course. Recertification discount is available for those who refresh their training (3 yrs).
Whilst encouraged, no pre-study is required prior to Training. No previous experience or pre-requisites is required to enrol.
Your inspector registration will be placed on our public register. Inclusion on this register and issue of CPSIA Certification requires you to abide by the PSIA Code of Ethics and be personally responsible for the quality of your work.
