Playground Certified Safety Inspector Aus

Competent playground safety inspectors are essential to keeping play spaces safe and compliant. Under AS 4685.0:2017 (Clause 5.1), a competent person is defined as having the training, qualification or experience (or a combination of these) to identify hazards, assess equipment against standards, and provide reliable recommendations. Without this level of expertise, risks can be overlooked – sometimes with serious consequences such as life debilitating injury or death. Competence ensures inspections are consistent, evidence-based, and aligned with best practice, helping councils, schools, and operators reduce incidents, meet their duty of care, and protect the communities who rely on safe play spaces.
